Minor movie set back.

I talked to the mother of the family I was going to have in my movie
over a month ago and she said they were ready. After trying to get in
touch with them for over a week now to schedule the filming the father
called last night. He said they lost their house and broke up a while
ago. They will not be able to do the movie. I don't need to here what I
would like to here. I need to here the truth, where I can make other
arrangements. Now at the last minute I have to find a now family to star
in my… Continue

Why a homeless MOVIE.

For over 7 years I have done a music program for the homeless, "a jam". A
place was offered to do it at, "a church". I was homeless at the time
and I knew that I had to be more stable to take this program were it
should go, so I got into a program to get clean and sober and a roof
over my head. It took a lot of agencies and really good people to
babysit me, a lot of people that believed in me and what I was doing.
Those people kept calling my program, "my mission". At first I didn't
see it that… Continue

Do's and don'ts of a community jam.

This can be the funnest time of your life, music is magic and community
service can really build your self respect. Most of the best ever at one
time or another have been homeless. You will have the "GREATEST JAMS
EVER". Find you a willing establishment with a large enough space, make
sure they have a good sized lockup equipment room, "not cabinet".
Advertise you are serving the impoverished, and or, homeless and ask for
donations of musical equipment. You will get more than you can store.
Then… Continue

Why I play and write songs.

I play to soothe my soul and I write to free my soul. A lot of things in
my life that I couldn't understand, I would write a song about and that
would put my questions in a different part of my brain, a part without
the pain of observation. To be able to step back and observe without
emotion and releasing it from my soul.

Congratulations on the house! So, you're up in the mountains now. Cool! I grew up next to the mountains in Boulder Colorado. Nice being able to literally hike from my back yard. Turns out Stacey is also from Boulder. But wait, there's more -- Stacey went to my highschool, and her last name is my wife's maiden name. LOL!
